About Me |
Thomas B. Davis (Tom) is a mechanical engineer who knows his way around equipment and skills training. Tom is also a noted author with two “heavy hitters” to his credit. Audel Mechanical Trades Pocket Manual and Audel Millwright and Mechanics Guide published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. These two books are used in over 150 apprenticeship and maintenance training programs throughout the USA. Tom’s a practical guy who knows what he’s talking about and wrote it up so others could learn.
He combines his technical engineering knowledge with field expertise learned from over 30 years of troubleshooting equipment problems in the chemical, petrochemical, waste treatment, water treatment, steel, mining and commercial industries. As principal of Maintenance Troubleshooting, he has worked in all 50 states and conducted training classes to help technical maintenance personnel find the real problems with equipment that need to be identified in order to make a permanent fix. His two short statements: “Machinery doesn’t understand politics – just the laws of physics” and “Let’s fix it right – the first time – so we don’t have to fix it again”, sum up Tom’s philosophy. |
