Description: This course in air conditioning and refrigeration includes studying for and taking the Refrigeration EPA Technician Certification exam. Created to bring students up to speed in their skills and knowledge as quickly and safely as possible. Taught by instructors who have been in the technicians’ shoes, the practical, commonsense approach used in this course makes it perfect for novice technicians and experienced HVAC technicians alike.  Anyone who needs to understand the basic operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air conditioning and refrigeration systems for commercial, industrial, or residential locations will benefit. The course applies to maintenance technicians, multi-craft trades people, building managers, HVAC technicians or anyone who wants to improve their AC&R operation and maintenance skills and become certified. Since 80% of AC& R problems are electrically related, the section on electrical troubleshooting is unique to this course and not offered elsewhere.
